Error displays both at top n bottom of harness

Upon validation errors are displaying both at top n bottom of harness, But i dont want them to display twice. Pls see the attached screen shot.

I made changes in perform harness , under display tab to use custom error section , since then my dropdowns are not working. I am not able to select values in drop down.
