Email listner error count is increasing with time with error in log
We are facing problem as the error count is getting increased in SMA for email listener with every run with below in log. The log size is overflowing with repetitive error.

But surprisingly it is working fine whenever any incoming email is available in the mailbox. Did anybody face this issue earlier?

Also for more information about the root cause you can enable the debug for com.pega.pegarules.integration.engine.internal.services.email.EmailListener class and check the log file for further analysis.

Hi,
Can you confirm if this is a sporadic issue and the only issue being faced is these errors in the log file?
From the error description it states that the Email server is taking too long to respond to the call from PRPC.
Can you confirm the value of email/timeout DSS setting. Default is one minute (60000) and the unit is in milliseconds. You can increase the timeout with the DSS as shown below
Owing ruleset : Pega-IntSvcs
Setting Purpose : email/timeout
Value: 120000

Along with the error in log we have the error count increasing in SMA with every 2 mins and we have kept "latency period" as 120 in email listener rule.
The DSS doesn't exist in our application. Do we need to create it?
