Effiecient way of data Transfer From one data base to another

Hi,

we have a requirement to transfer the data from our application core data base to another one to have a report kind of visibility for monitoring. We are using Bix to transfer the data in batch mode for every hour. As the records in the data tables will be updated every minute , is there any efficient way to transfer the data so that the data will be pulled and available for reporting all the time.

hi,

thanks for your post. I would like to know, if there is any feature in bix job to make it run all the time rather than running in batch mode.Right now, bix job itself take some time to strat the job, is there nay feature to enhance it?

Hi,

Have you tried running Bix through agent? Then you can try agent scheduling too

Go through page 20 you will find scheduling of Bix through Agent

My application is in PRPC7.1.6 version. Is it compatible to install BIX 7.1.8 on PRPC7.1.6? Could you please advise? since I heard that Bix agent is available from 7.1.8.

Hi,

No you should not install Bix 7.1.8 on Pega 7.1.6.
You should always install corresponding Bix version with the Pega version.
Once you move to Pega 7.1.8 you can use Bix 7.1.8.

Hi,

Also I believe you can write an activity, call the extraction rule and then call the activity inside agent which can be scheduled. I think this kind of implementation has been done by other users, but not really sure. Suggest you to look into below discussions too
