Dynamic layout properties what is use of Layout format and container format
Hi All,
I have few basic doubts. It will be great help if somebody clear them.
In Dynamic layout properties popup, we have Layout format and container format options. What is the difference between these and what is the purpose of container format here?
In Pega help I have read but I dont get the difference between these. So kindly explain

Hi Sahul,
Layout format determines how a layout appears on portal. It determines how items inside layout are arranged. It can be like all the items displayed in one row with standard spacing, or wrapped in to two columns etc.... Using layout format we can specify width, height, items spacing, label spacing, alignment, responsiveness etc...
Container format used to specify the styling of the layout. We can specify styling for header, body and outline/border. We can also specify background of the layout. You can go to skin rule and see preview of these formats and see how the styles/backgrounds are changed for different container formats.
If we go to skin rule and check different layout formats and container formats we will get an idea on what all can be controlled by these formats.
