Dynamic AJAX Tabs: Section action throws error when "Use Page Defined by Property" or "Section Property Reference" is used
I am trying to use an AJAX container to create dynamic tabs. However when using "Use Page Defined by Property" or "Section Property Reference" to dynamically set the Page Context and Section Name. Using text properties (.SectionName & .PageName) I run into an error.
- How can I create an AJAX tab using a dynamic clipboard page name and dynamic section name?
- Are the properties the correct property type (Text)?
- Or is this a Pega bug?
In the image below, when I hit submit button pega freezes and I am forced to refresh my browser. I try Section By property reference in isolation this throws a error, "please enter a valid property".

@JoshuaP82 How are the Parameters are getting set. Is it Prior Run Activity which sets this value? If Yes the values are not available in the dom before the next action is triggered.

@Abhilash_KHi, thanks for your answer. The Parameters .SectionName & PageName will be set in the prior Activity action. However, the Section action won't allow me to use these properties as parameters when I am developing it. I can't test if they are blank at runtime as I cannot submit and save the action in the state pictured above.

@JoshuaP82 Try the below approach.
1. Instead of Run Activity -> Configure "Refresh This Section" and Select the Activity and make sure u select "Disable Submit on Refresh".
2. In the Section where buttons are placed - Create the Hidden Fields with the Property names which are getting passed.

@Abhilash_K Thanks, I've tried but no luck. I'm trying to avoid refreshing the section, which is why I'm using AJAX containers for my dynamic tabs. The issue is that the action itself will not submit from pop up below, the parameter will not accept the property. I am unable to submit it therefore I cannot use it with the "Use Page defined by property" and "By property reference" options selected.

@JoshuaP82 I tried the same configuration and i am able to submit the Popup data with no issues. If your issue just saving the configuration then verify the property names are accessible in the inheritance.
