DX API: Does Dropdown source support Clipboard pagelist?

Hi all,

I've a question about dropdown control in DX API.

I've checked this link: https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/articles/pega-digital-experience-dx-api-version-1-overview/dropdown-control-dx-api but in that is not specified if DX API supports a clipboard pagelist as source for the list.

I've created a dropdown sourced by a clipboard Pagelist, but retrieving the json, the option array, related to the dropdown, was empty.
Is this a bug, or just an expected behaviour?

Hi @DanieleD9965

 

We have configured dropdowns using data pages or clipboard page lists. We have to initialise these values before we reach the flow action/assignment, so they are persisted with the work object.  The DXAPI is stateless so it does not know about the clipboard pages when the screen is already displayed, hence why we initialise them beforehand.

 

Are you able to add a screenshot of your dropdown configuration?

Please note that if you are using a data page, only Node level pages work.

We resolved using Data Pages for feeding the dropdown, so I do not have any configuration to show anymore.
Anyway I feel that your idea is correct, I was creating the Clipboard pagelist in the same assignment.
