Does Xpath or UI Elements are changed when migrated Pega from 7.3 to 8 ?

We are in the process to migrate our existing Pega 7.3 application to Pega 8. As there are many changes in Pega 8 especially for lighter UI.

I would like to know whether all my Xpath or UI elements were going to change? How much will it impact for my selenium script ?

The ID generation has been chnaged . You can see a different id for the form controls WRT pega 7.

Regarding the xpath ,testing team can confirm.

Hi Fayaz,

Did you get the answer here. I am also looking for the answer if Pega 8 upgrade will change the XPATH which eventually will impact our selenium based automation testing scripts.

Yes, for every major upgrade in Pega will change the locator in DOM structure which will affect your scripts and requires refactoring.
