Disabling pyPortalIcon in 8.1.3 for Chrome

Hi,

We are running 8.1.3 Pega OnPremise.
We need to disable favicon.ico, for which we did a save as of pyPortalIcon to one of our rulesets, and changed the below line:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="data:;base64,iVBORw0KGgo=">

This change is however is working in IE and Edge, but this is not working in Chrome.
Is there something different that needs to be changed in Chrome?
