7.4 to 8.1.3 Upgrade

Hi all,

We have a current solution which is built on 7.4 and we need to move it to 8.1.3. Along with 8.1.3 we need to install Pega Government Platform 8.1. Question is if we can consider this as an upgrade and if yes where I can find the installation or upgrade details. Also can we do a fresh installation of 8.1.3 in the box.

Appreciate quick response on this.

Thanks for sharing the location. Could you please let me know where I can get the media files and upgrade to 8.1 needs different installation files than fresh implementation.

Since you are going for a major version change, it will be an upgrade. And this upgrade media you can find along with the Pega 8.1 installation media (scripts folder).

Hi Vikas,

Thanks for the info, I have downloaded the Pega 8.1.3 installation files. Also got the Scripts folder there but I have observed it has multiple files and folders inside it. Would you be able to let me know which file I need to run and if you can direct to the Upgrade guide from 7.4 to 8.1.3 for Tomcat Application server and Oracle 11g. I am happy to upgrade Oracle or Tomcat version if needed.

You would need to check the upgrade guide and plan the upgrade

The file you are looking for is migrate.bat and upgrade.bat

in the Upgrade guide, observed upgrade can be done by Intelligent Upgrade assistant just wondering where I can download the same.
