Date format switches from correct format to stored value
Hello,
I have a repeating grid that displaying the deadline for a document submission. This deadline is calculated using a declare expression. When I move to this assignment, the section that originally displays has the deadline date in the correct format (Jan 1 2001). After a couple seconds it then reverts back to the stored version of the data, as shown in the screenshot. This has never happened to me before so I'm wondering what is going wrong. Any ideas?

So even though the property itself is only Date, I set the control to Date/Time then chose the Date/Time option for read only formatting, and it shows the date in the correct format. Thanks for the input everyone.

In report definition of the grid, in the column for date provide the Date control in the settings icon (present at last at each column in Report Definition)

That is what I did. I chose date control and identified the format I wanted (Jan 1 2001) and it starts out as that format but then switches back to the 20010101 format

can you see on the clipboard if the same Date format is displayed ? if not then you must write a control and insert into the section as control inherited from option.

The date property on the clipboard is displayed in the format shown in the original post's screenshot, so it is not in the correct format. How would I write a control as you suggested?
