Create a Unique System Name and Update All Nodes

Hi,

I have done below steps in the monitored node.The result saying successfully cnfigured system name.But after restarting the node: the system name still reflecting the old one.What to do?

Current Name: pega

1.From the Designer Studio, select > System > Settings > System Name to display the System Name landing page.

2. Enter a new system name, and click Submit.

3. Stop and restart the system (all nodes). The new system name takes effect upon restart.

 Have bounce the JVM After did this change . could please share the screenshots.

Hi,

The screenshot as attached.I have updated the system name to preprod aes

 

After restarting the instance, its still show as pega which is the original system name.I just follow what is stated in the guide.What if i dont change the system name?will it still works because pega is used for this system since day one.we shouldnt change it.

Is there a list of nodes displayed under the Current and New system Name values from your screen shots?  This should tell you the actions that you need to take.  Some nodes may require a manual update to the prconfig file to use the new system name.

For example as shown in the screen shot from this article:
