In Connect Rest - UTF is not captured correctly
We have a Connect Rest implemented where we capture user input and same is stored in external data base
In the input request when we send, UTF 8 character, like £ symbol, value is stored as £ at the target end data base.
But when the same request is triggered using the SOAP UI , its storing the value correctly. i.e without  character.
Have set the system level Character set to UTF 8.
pxProcess page shows all encoding in UTF-8 / UTF8 .
Still issue persists.
Did anyone face similar issue?

On reviewing the corresponding SR, we see that it has been resolved. SA-41178 was created as a result of the investigation. Please reference that if you have the same question.

Hi Niteshagarwal,
What is the value in the clipboard after the rest call?
Just trying to determine whether the issue results from REST data to clipboard or clipboard to database.
SOAPUI does not store to the database as far as I know.

Thanks for the response. Value is Clipboard/Tracer is correctly dislayed as £. If we store in Pega Data base table, then also the value is stored correctly.
But using the Rest Connect and storing the value in external data base table is cauing issue.
We are using CPM 7.1.3 on Pega 7.1.8
When we enter comments in Wrap Up screen and hit submit, the comments are passed as input request in the Connect Rest and values are stored in External Table. Here the value stored are not correct. Additional special character is also captured with £ symbol
But when the same request is used from SOAP UI, pound symbol displays correctly
