Connect-REST via Proxy
Hi,
We are trying to connect to a REST service via Proxy but encountering below exception,
com.pega.pegarules.pub.services.ConnectorException: Caught unhandled exception: java.net.UnknownHostException
Note:
1) The host and port are enabled in proxy and can be verified via curl -v -x <proxy name>:<proxy port> <End point URL>.
2) We are on 7.21.
3) No JVM arguments are added (https.proxyHost and https.proxyPort). We are creating the proxy page dynamically and passing it to ServicesUtilities • pxApplyHTTPProxyConfiguration--(Object,boolean,ClipboardPage)
Any help is appreciated!

Please add the DNS proxy server name in server host file and try to connect to the rest service.
as pyInvokeRest will pick the proxy from server host file.

I was exploring the function pxApplyHTTPProxyConfiguration(client, isSSL).

The else part gets from where you have mentioned.
I am looking to get it done via if part, where we should have a clipboard page aProxyConfPage . But this doe not seem to work !!!

Hello Aquib,
aProxyConfPage is a ClipboardPage of class 'Data-ProxyAuthentication', containing proxy configuration details. If it is null, details will be sourced from standard proxy JVM arguments.
Have you tried the setting the below class properties on aProxyConfPage clipboard page, before you pass it to apply HTTP proxy configurations as pxApplyHTTPProxyConfiguration(client, isSSL, aProxyConfPage).
Let me know your views.

Hello Harish,
Yes i populated this page with the required data before calling pxApplyHTTPProxyConfiguration.
Still in 7.21 its not picking up proxy configurations and giving error of host unknown (which i understand it to as DNS not geting resolved as the call did not go through proxy)
