1) Go to additional the SMS outbound account.  Open it for edit and go to Additional settings.  Add 2 properties: dest_addr_ton and dest_addr_npi.  Set their values according to your needs.

2) Your SMSc administrator can set the defaults not the application.

3) You can't set an explicit send rate.  The application reacts to throttle (slow down) signals from the SMSc to slow down when requested.

4) Sorry, I don't know, but Flash messages are not recommended for Marketing purposes and most providers do not allow it for that use.

5) Yes, Unicode.

I understand that Flash SMS is not recommended, but at times, our users need to send out Flash SMS. Thus, it will be good for us to get ready with the setting. 

With regards to the UNICODE character set, do we need install the character set in the application server?

Alternative, is there any documentation for configurating of SMS channel? I find that Pega is very weak in documentation. 

Just to add on. I tried to follow the suggestion to do the setup. I only see a red warning sign next to the 1st field. Seems that it is not a recorgnised property.
