Check if the rulesets of the product are locked at the time of export via API
Hello PEGA Team,
I would like to automate the export and import process in PEGA.
Before exporting the product, I would like to check if all the rulesets are locked via API.
I have checked the PEGA documentation, but could not find any exclusive information about this.
I am using PEGA version 8.7

Hi @RajanK16705007: I don't think PEGA has API's to check if a ruleset is locked. Instead you can build your own. You can also achieve this by making sure that Allow unlocked ruleset versions? is not selected in the product rule.
It is better to keep the rulesets locked and do the deployments only in branch.
Also check if deployment manager helps.

I am not sure if an API exists for the export of a Product rule.
Please check this documentation if you would like to achieve this through Jenkins.

Could you please let me know how could I build my own API to check if a ruleset is locked? Is there any PEGA documentation where I can find procedure for this?

Hi @RajanK16705007: As this is not available in the product, I don't think there is a documentation for this. You can follow the below.
Create a REST API: https://docs-previous.pega.com/data-management-and-integration/87/creating-service-rest-rule
In the service method, create the logic to open RSV and check pyVersionSecure. This property will have details of whether the version is locked or not.
