Category is not shown in "Display in report browser" in Report Definition

Hi,

I created a new Rule-Category and want to set it to Report Definition but somehow it is not coming up in "Display in repot browser" in Report Definition. I also tried manually creating a Rule-Shortcut but it is not giving me the new Category in the dropdown. I don't know what I am missing (it used to be working) and am I missing anything? I rebooted system, delete Marker file, and recreated Category, etc etc but the result is the same. Product defect?

Hi,

Owner is ALL, and Owner Type is Standard.

 

I figured this show / no show difference is coming from when condition specified in Category rule. I was using Out-of-the-box HaveRole for this When rule and for some reason, some string works fine and other string does not work. I could not figure what is the logic around here. It is very weird but anyways, I got it to work anyhow.

Lib(Pega-RULES:Default).HaveRole(this,"MyApp:IDManager") => This worked

Lib(Pega-RULES:Default).HaveRole(this,"MyApp:IDReportViewer") => This did not work

Both access role exists in the system. It was not about string length (as other longer access role worked fine). Strange..
