Can the service ping feature be used to ping any SOAP or REST service to know if the service is up and running.
Got this below piece of information in a post.
"You can verify whether a Pega 7 Platform instance is up and running by entering this URL: http://<<hostName:port/contextName>>/PRRestService/monitor/pingservice/ping"
is this feature someway can help in testing a Connect-SOAP/Connect-REST to check a service availability.
Can anyone show some example of how to use this service ping feature.

My earlier post is about the 'Test Connectivity' feature, and this is about service ping feature, There is an earlier post (https://docs-previous.pega.com/performance/pinging-pega-7-platform-instance) regarding my query but am looking for some detailed information on how this service ping feature can be utilized, if at all usable for Connect SOAP and REST or not.
