Can Pega 8+ read a Pega 5.5 pzpvpstream (blob)

Thanks in anticipation,

Can Pega 8+ read the pzpvpstream (blob) of an older Pega instance in say 5.5. Has this PoC ever been done please.

You should be able to read the blob data for older pega objects. There have been apps built in Pega 5 that are running on Pega 8 platform without any such issue with reading the blob data. Please elaborate on what issue are you facing?
