Call a modal window from a modal window
Hi All,
Has anyone face this issue earlier?
I have a requirement where I want to call a modal window dialog from a modal window.
steps :
1) Click on the button in harness.
2) It opens up a 1st modal window (local action). On submit of 1st modal window, expectation is to open a 2nd modal window(local action) and close the 1st modal window.
Note : Primary class of harness is different from the class of local actions.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe that if you add a second action on the original call before opening up the first modal, it will suspend the processing and call the second modal on submission of the first. I have observed this behaviour on other processing so this may work.
I.e. if you have an action set which currently states:
- On-click
----- Open Modal Dialog 1
...change this to:
- On-click
----- Open Modal Dialog 1
----- Open Modal Dialog 2
If you have come up with a solution already, let us know!
P.s. there is always the choice of calling a flow in the first modal instead of a flow action, giving you the flexibility to add more assignments...

If i understand your issue correctly, it is not allowing you to open the second Popup from first. If Yes, i also faced the same issue, I went with Overlay instead of second Modal dialog.

From Pega 7.2, you can configure an Overlay that does not disappear when clicked outside of it i.e it pretty much mimics the modal window. You can check the "Disable click away" checkbox. Let me know if this helps.
Alternately, for your requirement, it is better to configure these 2 local actions in a screen flow instead of switching between 2 modal local actions. These 2 flow actions appear in a sequence. You have much better control as well.
