Calendar Gadget PEGA 8 workaorund

Hello everyone,

as a requirement, I need to implement an event calendar gadget on the dashboard, with the capability to add or remove events (see attachments), I just made a research about it and it seems that the calendar gadget was deprecated in 7.3.1 and it's no longer supported, the version is Pega 8

it could be possible to have any workaround for the gadget calendar? or is there any OOTB rule that helps me to develop this requirement?

Hi,

Thanks for posting your query in PSC !

Regarding the Calendar gadget, as you said it has been deprecated in 7.3.1.

There is a separate class for the Calender view : PegaGadget-CalenderView ( Calendar view gadget)

This class contains all the HTML, activities and section that are used for the calendar. Also, there is an OOTB activity - Show Calendar in which you can pass the HTML for the calendar.

Also, you can try using pxCalendar section from @baseclass to show the calendar.

Hi thanks for your answer, I just implemented in the navigation bar the section pyCMEEvents7 that contains the pxCalendarViewGadget section, now I'm just trying to configure it and adapted to the requirement

Did you make any changes pyCMEEvents7 while embedding it inside your custom section because i tried the same but am unable to display data on calendar.

Hi DineshkumarN I didn't create a custom section I try to modify the one that already has, my requirement is to show events cases on the calendar so what I did is to create this activity "pzCalendarAssignmentWorklist" that it's by default on the pyECMEvents7 and save it in the work class then i create the report on the same class and i was able to use the parameters that i required.

i was able to show the events on the calendar.
