Best Practices to Update pxRequestor & Operator ID details for Agents/Background processing(Services)
Hi ,
Agent is responsible for attaching notes & documents that receives from an external party through an API's , so we would like to update the attachment information (like .pxAttachedByOrganization,.pxAttachedByWorkgroup & .pxAttachedBy.) with external party details before saving into attachment table..
All OOTB related attachments activities (Ex:- AttachNote) are marked as Final and there is no place holder to override the .pxAttachedByOrganization,.pxAttachedByWorkgroup & .pxAttachedBy.
Is it good practice to update the pxRequestor page with pxOrganization,pyUserIdentifier,pxWorkGroup before calling attachment activity.?

Hello,
Maybe you can have a custom agent calling your own activity to do it. Have you tried tracing it to check if you can see a place holder?
Can you share the tracer with us?

we are using OOTB activity (Work-.AttachNote) to attach external party notes .
pyNewNote page is creating first (at step#2) ,later updating the attachment requestor details (at step#5 ) so updating the pyDefault on page-new doesn't help .
