API error: pyUpdateCaseDetails is not part of assignment actions
Hi All,
We are getting error "API error: pyUpdateCaseDetails is not part of assignment actions" whilst trying to update a standard case. I've seen article https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pega-api-fails-update-cases but this isn't a custom app as we are running this against PegaCA-Work-Complaint and still get the error.
Any suggestions?
We are running Pega 7.3.1.

OK I made a private edit and added the case wide actions - flow action pyUpdateCaseDetails to PegaCA-Work-Complaint-pyDefault Case Type and it now works.
Makes me wonder why this isn't there by default.

I didn't see pyUpdateCaseDetails included in the case type rule for PegaCA-Work-Complaint in my system. Try adding it as a case wide action as mentioned in the Support Article and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for the response, I'll have to get a developer to look at that, but there's a slight issue here. We have a custom app inheriting from this class and this allows updates via the api and also doesn't have pyUpdateCaseDetails flow!
Any ideas?
