Adhoc Utility to Verify Agent Status running across various node without going to SMA
Hi All
My application is running on 6 nodes . Node : (2 UI + 2 Batch + 2DR).
To Load balance 64 Application custom agents we have distributed the load on all 6 nodes.
For Planned/Unplanned /daily Health check we have to verify if all agents running as per agreed load distribution.
It is quite tedious task and prone to error.
To help support team we want to Build a utility which can perform this task on Adhoc basis or Scheduled via another agent.
Pls advice on the approach .
I am aware of AES and PDC so simply don't say refer to AES/PDC.
Also there are 2 other post on this topic , but no one has provided clear and concise solution so I have created this new post.

I would recommend use Pega APIs (refer to Agent APIs): https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/pega-api-pega-platform-0
assuming you are running the recent versions of Pega platform. Your utility could be even outside Pega environment. Essentially your utility is a REST client. It can be built in any of your own UIs. Out of curiosity, any reason you do not want to go with PDC?

My Application is running Pega 7.1.7.

Unfortunately, I do not believe 7.1.7 has Pega API feature (one of many reasons your organization should consider upgrading). So that option is not applicable. Then the next option is using JMX, which would require some java coding, see this link: https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/jmx-mbean-sample-code-pega-mbeans.
