Add attachment to Email Treatment in Pega Marketing
I am having a requirement to send emails in Pega marketing framework with some attachements. But I don't see a way to attach anything. Is there any programtic way to customize the functionality. Or can we use any OOTB actvity to add attachement before sending the email treatment.

There is no capability to add attachments to email treatments in Pega Marketing. This is by design, as marketing email delivery is optimized for bulk delivery. Attachments create performance issues for bulk emails. The typical approach in marketing is to include a link in the email to a location where the customer can download the digital asset from, typically a gated area where you can collect additional information about the customers needs.

Hi Lochan, Can I have more details on how the functionality is achieved using Customization of Send Email activity using SendEmailMessage function as mentioned by you above. Our goal is to insert bar codes dynamically in the email treatments in pega marketing.

Such a customization is not supported and would break backward compatibility with new releases from Pega Marketing.
