Accessing redirect parameter from external site outside of authentication activity

Hi,

I need to redirect the user based on the link he clicks on an external site to pega custom portal that i have created. The harness being launched inside the portal depends on the user selection on external site. I need to capture that param value outside of SSO authentication activity as that activity runs only when requestor session is first created. Any help regarding this will be appreciated.
