Hi @MaxonL16591286, Default Behaviour of pega. If you are not giving the harness Pega will be taking care of it in the back ground. Thanks

By default, the assignment gets loaded in the perform harness. If we want the section related to this assignment to be loaded in the other harness then we can use this option.

Hi @MaxonL16591286,
When you are creating a case in the case worker portal in the left navigation if you place the live UI you will be able to see the harness.
Pega applications commonly use four standard harnesses: New, Perform, Review and Confirm.
I hope this will helps you. If it helps please mark it as accepted solution.
Thanks

@Kamineni Surya Thanks, could I further ask more about how a harness react with an Assignment.
If I config the "Perform" harness in the underline part of an Assignment (pls see the image in my first message), then when will the "Perform" harness display? E.g.
1. At entry of the Assignment, before the Routing and SLA setting completed in the Assignment.
2. After the Routing and SLA setting completed in the Assignment, before the next step following the Assignment in the parent process flow, e.g. a flow action, start.
And, once the harness display, what action will let the case quit the harness and proceed to next step?
Thanks.

More, if there's NO harness configured in an Assignment, then the case will not stop at the Assignment step. The Assignment step will do routing and SLA setting silently in background and then the case proceed to next step.
Is my above understanding correct?

Hi @MaxonL16591286,
Let me explain an example for better understanding.
Take the Leave request application as an example. They are 3 actors involving in it one is user and second one is manager.
Create Harness : Whenever user creates a case,Create harness is called in the background by default.
Perform Harness : Whenever an user action is performed on the particular created case then in the background Perform Harness is called.
Review Harness : Whenever user submits an leave request it will moves to manager and manager able to view the case details in the review mode and he needs to take an action on the following created case by user like Approve/ Reject then in the background Review harness will be called.
I hope it will helps you.
Thanks

@Kamineni Surya many thanks.
Regarding your explanation, whenever user do something, a harness is called in the background.
Is this a default behavior without any setting needed?
If so, I still want to know, what is diff btw setting and NOT setting a harness name in the underline part of an Assignment, as in the image in my 1st message?
