How to show attachment content in a pop_up window in Pega Constellation
After creating an incident in case type, under attachment tab file is getting download while clicked & opening in html format.
Requirement is while I will click on the link in attachment it should open in another window instead of download.
Note:- Application built on Pega Constellation.

To show attachment content in a pop-up window instead of downloading it in a Pega Constellation application, modify the attachment link behavior to open in a new tab or window. Go to the case type rule where the attachment is configured, and update the link action to "Open URL in New Window" instead of the default download action. Use the pyAttachmentPage to fetch the attachment reference and apply the window.open() method in JavaScript or set the link target to _blank for opening in a new tab. Ensure the correct MIME type is set so the file opens directly in the browser, especially for PDFs. Pega Constellation's modern React-based framework also supports a File Viewer component that can display attachments in a modal pop-up. If available, use this component for a seamless viewing experience. Confirm that proper access control policies are set for file viewing. This ensures a user-friendly experience where the file opens directly for viewing rather than downloading. Test the behavior by attaching a file, clicking the link, and verifying it opens in a new tab or window without downloading.

@Sairohith - Thanks for your response. we are using Pega OOTB 'Attachments' widget and trying to open an email sent from Pega that's available in attachments. Instead of showing content of email in a pop-up, the hyperlink is always downloading it as html.

This is available in Pega 24.2 version. We can preview the attachments like PDF and Image files without downloading the content.
