Hi, I’m Vijai Kundum. I’ve worked in various customer-facing roles at Pegasystems, helping clients make the right decisions and improve their experience. I enjoy solving client-reported issues and finding ways to enhance the product. Over the years, I’ve supported different Customer Service versions, from 8.x to the latest Infinity 24, and explored many Customer Service Messaging features. I’m excited to be part of this forum and share my knowledge with all of you.

Hope December is treating you well and you are as excited as me to welcome 2025 :D
For all those learning enthusiasts I am excited to share with you some cool messaging features and implementation suggestions.
As part of today's topic I am going to introduce you to the Messaging app component.
When Constellation for Messaging was built, it was designed to decouple from Pega Customer service application into a separate application component.
With this Messaging app component, any customer can build the Constellation Messaging in their implementation application with comparatively minimal efforts without Pega CS.
In 24.2 release, this component is used in both Ui-Kit and Constellation applications. (In Ui-Kit, it is not completely decoupled from Pega Customer Service, but it was ensured that the common infrastructure is part of both the variants.)
As part of this Messaging app component, the Constellation chat pane UI is rendered in the Ui-Kit messaging interactions (the right pane of the messaging interaction with reference to the image). With this the agents will get to experience the same messaging UI as the Constellation.
