Issue with HazelCast for Node Initialization
We are unable to start two of the nodes in the cluster of 7 nodes .
I see the below article about the same issue and it says about WebSphere but Do we have any similar settings for tomcat application server to resolve this issue.
To resolve this problem, update the uLimit values in your WebSphere Application Server environment:

Have you defined in prconfig the below parameter with all IPs of your nodes? <env name="cluster/Hazelcast/members" value="Ips list coma separated"/>
Have you also defined all default ports you want to use and made sure the 2 nodes have no firewall issue to reach all IPs:port?

Are you using embedded hazelcast or externalised one? V5 I think?

These are not new ones (Preproduction environment) but we did Pega upgrade other SIT/QA region which runs on the same host, but cluster is different for SIT and Preproduction .
We made sure that hazelcast ports are not conflict with other tomcat instances in the same host and no firewall issue as they were working before .
we thought of some memory issue, but it doesn't show anything about it in Logs and server memory statistics except below error message.
ERROR - com.pega.hazelcast.core.OperationTimeoutException: RegistrationOperation invocation failed to complete due to operation-heartbeat-timeout.
we are using embedded hazelcast which is v4.

For me it looks a conflict with other nodes running on same server.
For the 2 problematic nodes, stop all others instances and check whether they start properly or not, with same error message or not.
Have you cleared pega temp dir after upgrade?
I see you upgraded to 8.8.1 version. Is tomcat still valid ? I thought it wouldn't from 8.8.
To be clear, you've got 7 nodes for this Pre Prod cluster and 5 come up without issue but 2 are failing. Correct?
Any conflict with node ID? They well have different names?
What's node classification of the 2 failing? Can you have them to WebUser only to be sure nothing OOTB will try to start.

@Anthony_Gourtay Can you try to remove this line <env name="cluster/hazelcast/v4/enabled" value="true"/> from prconfig.xml and try to start the JVM's in a rolling order. Stream , Search , Background and Webuser.
Before starting the nodes , clean the temp directories of each of the JVM and truncate pr_sys_statusnodes DB table.
