Is it suggested to use Sendkeys method in a RPA solution?
Hello,
I have created a RPA solution,where the bot will be scheduled using windows task scheduler on a virtual machine.The process includes a step where we are using SendKeys to enter a comment on a web application.
I know for a fact that sendkeys work in a RDA solution but just wanted to confirm if it works for a RPA as well, where no one is logged into the VM.

@MeghaSinhaPega Robotics Runtime requires a user to be logged into the machine since it is automating tasks as a user would. SendKeys will not work unless the machine is both logged-in and unlocked. Most applications don't require SendKeys to be used, and likely can be automated if the screen is locked, but Pega Robotics does not have the ability to change anything if your applications do not work the same when the machine is locked. Some Windows applications for example know when the screen is locked and do not create UI controls. If your automation was coded to click those controls, that would obviously fail.
If you are not going to use Pega Robot Manager, then you won't be able to use the Pega RPA Service (which will log your bots in for you). You will likely need to keep these machines running 24/7 and always unlocked or provide your own means of getting them logged-in at your preferred time (if you choose not to use the technology we provide).
