Sending Email to active customers
I want to send email to all the active customer of my Banking application. Let’s say we have 1 lakh (100000) customers. Given customers email IDs are there in DB tables.
How can i achieve without Impacting the performance of application.

1. For this we need to browse the email from the class based on the table mapping and condition you require.
2. Have the email at the pagelist and iterate the list with OOTB "SendSimpleEmail" with a specified Corr Rule.
3. Place this activity under JobScheduler / queueprocessing with background processing.
To reduce load and process 1 lakh records use queue processor.

First point which you need to consider before implementing this is performance. Because you have mentioned you need to send mail to 1 lakh customer's.
- Have a job scheduler which will get execute at schedule time and will trigger a process to send email.
- In a single browse you should not get all 1 lakhs customer information, pega will recommend not to load more than 500 records result at a same time under a same requester session. This will lead to heap out of memory and it will impact other backend process which is getting executed under a same node..
In scheduler activity just have a logic to queue a process to Queue-Processor. Inside Queue-Processor activity have your logic to get first 500 records (For Ex: User ID = 1 - 500) and after you got all 500 results loop it and queue each instance to another queue processor which will be responsible to send an email to each customer respectively, this mail triggering will get handled in back-end so system will not take huge time to complete process..
After the 1-500 records loop process completed again invoke same queue processor and trigger a new process again to get next 500 records and send an email to needed customers. In the same way you could have your recursive process which will get next - next 500 customers information and will send an email.

Based on your business need have your logic how you are going to get 1st 500 records and after that how in a recursive way you would be getting next - next 500 customer records.
