Purpose of pr_data_decision_df_part table

Hi all

 

We have the requirement for creating indexes for this table in the project for better performance. during the evaluation of the task, two questions rose about this table:

1) whats is its role in the processing on Pega Marketing? what is it does?

2) which are the risks of changing it?

 

Somebody could help me answer this questions?

Table pr_data_decision_df_part is used to manage Kafka consumer offsets within PEGA. There is a OOTB rule (consumer Of Kafka data) to maintain their offsets in the pxrecordsprocessed column. When Kafka message is processed, pega maintains offset in this table.

If your marketing application designed to use Kafka heavily, creating index (for the columns pxworkId, pxvalues) would improve the performance.
