Make connect-rest urls as case insensitive

Is there a way to make Connect-Rest URLs as case insensitive. Or its output as case insensitive?

For example - a service output is 'ID' and later on if service is updated from the backend and is now returning 'id' as output, can the data page invoking the connect-rest still get this value?
