Pega Robotics - Automating Excel Opened From a Website
I am looking to dynamically filter columns in an Excel document that is stored on a SharePoint site. Is there a way to connect to an Excel document that is already opened from a web page? (our automation launches the site and clicks on the SharePoint item) Or is it possible to use the Excel Connector and launch the Excel directly from a link instead of a local path on the machine?

I do not believe that the built-in connector would work in this case. It is designed to operate on local files. I did a little search for "Excel interop" and it seems as though it is possible. Interop is essentially what the connector wraps to interact with Excel. You might submit this as a feature request through your Pega contacts as it might be something that could be added relatively easily. With SharePoint files, I have always had to automate the downloading of them before I was able to interact with them.

Gotcha, thank you! We're going to try to go down the path of submitting a feature request, and if that doesn't pan out we will try downloading the file as a second option.
