Difference between NodeType "Untyped" and "Universal"
I have 2 tomcat server instances whose node is not configured with any node type, so by default it is showing as "untyped" in Cluster Management landing page.
I want to understand if there is any difference between node type "Universal" and "untyped" in terms of system resource utilisation

Untyped:
If a node is not configured with any node type, the node classification feature does not apply on that node. The node starts with the Untyped node type.Any default associations of agents to node types do not affect the behavior of agents, and the agents run based on the Data Agent Queue configuration for that node. The listeners do not have any default association to node types, but if you mapped them to a node type, they do not run if the node is started with the Untyped node type.
Queue Processor rules run on nodes to which you map these rules. If you do not define node types, you cannot map Queue Process rules to any node types. In this case, all the queue processors within your application run.

If you have 2 different servers and you are not providing node type in JVM for any of the node both the nodes will be untyped and the behavior will be same for both the nodes.
For 2 nodes, you should decide and classify which node should be stream(if using 8.x version), background, search, web user.
What exact information you are looking for apart from the above provided detail?

Difference between classifying a node as "Universal" and not classifying a node as Universal, that is leaving the default setting as "Untyped" in terms of system resource utilisation irrespective of number of server instances.
