Difference between FCM and Pega Mashup
What exactly is the difference between FCM and Pega Mashup?
Has mashup replaced FCM or is it completely different.
For FCM i know that we have to configure gateway and do some configurations inorder to pull the interface in another pega instance. And it seems pega mashup is simple when compared to FCM.
I'm just trying to pull a case from one pega instance to another. Please suggest what should i use.

FCM uses mashup and it has its own repository so that you can manage cases from multiple pega systems (even different versions). Also I believe FCM has its own license. You probably should try to use mashup to start with.

FCM is not yet upgraded to use latest version of Mashup (support without gateway).
But to answer your question, Yes FCM is suggested approach for your use case where you need to just pull some case data from another system.

I was actually confused between Mashup/IAC and FCM.
After long struggle i understood that Mashup is used to embed pega cases etc.. as a gadget in third party sites which need not necessarily be written in Pega. However, the case with FCM is that the other application should be in Pega.
And the dependency on gateway is only on FCM and the dependency will be reduced in the further releases.
Mashup does not require gateway at all.
