Is there any way to give business validation in pega Create Case API before creating the case?
Hi All,
We have a requirement that if some of the values in the request parameter(In the content) is not correct(business value)the Pega Case Create API will give some error response instead of creating the case. But we found that all the rules in the Pega Create Case API is final rules and there is no way to add any customize validation to meet the business requirement. The case is getting created everytime if the structure of the request is technically correct. Please let us know if anyone has face this issue and have some solution.

Hi,
Pega Create Case API is final and no customization can be applied!
To impose case specific validations, did you try one of the below :
1) "Use Validate" or "Edit input" options available in concerned property rule Advanced tab configuration
2) "Declare OnChange" ruletype available under Decision category
One of the above results in error message added to concerned property and I believe create case API returns error response if primary page has got any error messages associated with it.

Hi Avijit,
Check the "validation" under "setting" tab of case type.
You can add the validation rules for case creation.
Case won't be created if validation of When rule fails.
