PEGA API create case basic authentication
Hi,
I am trying to create a case using the PEGA microservice API cases using POST method in my PE, when no authentication is used a new case is created without any issue.
When authentication is enabled with BASIC one, I am using the admin user id and pass however i get the below mentioned error.
Am i missing anything here?

When the authentication is enabled you can see checkbox Require TLS/SSL... which is enabled. So you need to access the API using the https protocol. Also your server should be configured to support the protocol.
If you don't want this , uncheck the checkbox Require TLS/SSL... and proceed using regular http protocol

@seguv Thankyou for the response, I have been checking this in Personal edition v8.6 with no server side config available. Please guide me to any available article if it is doable in personal edition.
Also the checkbox can be unchecked but it will end up in a severe warning which is to be avoided.

Having a port for https protocol is just like any other server configuration. Pega personal edition comes with an embedded tomcat server.
For enabling a https port on any tomcat server requires steps like getting a private SSL certificate (you can get a free one with a little search over internet). After getting that, you need to update this information in the server.xml file which will be present inside the tomcat folder.
As of now I found official documentation link https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/ssl-howto.html demonstrating the things which are required.

@SumeethV I followed this procedure and that worked for me. My localhost is now 'secure' (with self-signing certificate). Keep in mind that this solution isn't just for Pega, but for all services running though localhost.
