You can achieve required field option based on condition expression or by when rule evaluation. I have configured a sample required field condition, below is the snapshot for your reference.

Below is the steps to follow,

1. In the section configured, open the cell properties of the field where you need to perform required conditions. 
2. Under required field select Condition expression or when rule.
3. In condition expression built your expression. In case of when rule, create a when rule and set the when conditions for the property based on your requirement.

You can also use page properties like .EmployeeDetails.Gender=="male" for building expression/When rule in field required conditions.
