Updating PR_SYS_QUEUES Status
I have entries in PR_SYS_QUEUES that are constantly reprocessing. Due to affect on database server archive process, I am planning to update PYITEMSTATUS to 'Broken-Process' via database script (there will be separate analysis to find root underlying issue and remediate). Just wanted to get feedback that this works as a possible solution even if it's not the ideal solution and the best practice for updating PR_SYS_QUEUES.

It should work since the stored procedure used by the agent queue processing checks for items that are in a Scheduled status and a date ready to be processed.

Thanks for the quick reply! I just noticed I was not clear in my first post. I meant to ask whether there is an alternative best practice (or better solution) when dealing with updates to PR_SYS_QUEUES. If not, I will proceed with DB script. Thanks again.

You could also use the Defer option in SMA or the Queue Management landing page to move the items to the broken queue. I think the Queue Management landing page was added in 7.3.
