Cases in Wait shape gets executed in which node?

I have multi-modal environment and application has two wait shapes, I read somewhere that the cases with wait shape gets executed only on UTIL node. Needs more insight on this.

Could you please  elaborate what you mean by UTIL node?

As far as i know, these SLA events are processed by Pega-procom agents and as long as the the agent is enabled on that node, they will be processed.

The wait shape utilizes the SLA functionality. So you will see a queue item created that will be processed by the Service Level Events. 
So if a node is dedicated for agents, it will be processed by that.
