Pega runtime impact on the applications
Hi All,
I am working on a RDA project.We have used the StartMyDay.After the first release some users were complaining a java application we open using StartMyDay is crashing because of RDA. We opening up several applications using SMD and we also close all applications using RDA itself.I want to know whether Pega robotics holds the control on the applications which we open using SMD all the time and can pega cause any problem on the applications it opens up.Also user is able to open several IE browser windows from this java application we launch using SMD and they want to keep the browser windows open if the application crashes.Currently all the IE windows are getting closed when the application crashes.What can I do to keep the browser windows open?

Setting the Stop Method of an adapter to None will cause the app to continue when runtime shuts down. Injection into browsers opened by your app should only happen if you have HookChildProcesses set to True. If you are not automating those windows you may want to make sure that setting is False.

When using Runtime OpenSpan injects a series of dll's into IE regardless of its interrogation status. When you close Runtime, all child IE processes will be destroyed.
