7.3.1 to 7.4 Platform Update
I'm working a platform update (7.3.1 to 7.4) and want to use the update deployment tool detailed on page 20 of the Pega Platform 7.4 Update Guide. The 7.4 package was downloaded via the Pega software request/deployment side. The instructions refer to a java –jar Update_Setup.jar file (step 5) that is not in my 7.4 platform package. Do I have the correct platform package?

You need to raise media request to get Pega7.4 Update package from product support.

What is the name of the media you have? Update / upgrade media (which is separate from the full media) should have "U", "UP", "UPD", something like that in the name.

The 7.4 package I have is 115943_Pega7.4.zip. Looks like this is not the update package. Where can I get the update package?

I raised a media request and got the same package - 115943_Pega7.4.zip from support team. Is this not the right package to update to 7.4?

This is normal package [115943_Pega7.4.zip]. You need to get upgrade package. When you receive the file check the filename should contains the letter "U" .
