Custom logo displaying as 'X' cross mark on portal screen refresh

Custom logo on header of portal screen does not load on IE browser refresh and displaying 'X' cross mark as in attached screenshot. It is working fine on Chrome browser. The image is stored as binary and loaded through HTML rule. Kindly advice.

The logo is displaying fine on initial login/screen load, but on refresh the logo displays 'X' cross mark. This is happening only on IE browser

Pega Version - 7.1.8

IE Version - 11.0

Hi Kaushik,

Thanks for posting on PSC.

It appears to me, a probable issue with caching mechanism or other configuration with IE browser.

I could find several post on similar issues reported with IE 11 browser:-

Please let us how have you included the image file in the section . 

1) upload the binary file and used icon control for showing the image

2) html img tag to display the image .

Hi Ashok,

We have used html img tag for display.
