Harness popup window not closing on logoff.
Hi,
I have harness which is opened as a pop up windows on click of an icon. When i logoff from interaction portal this pop up window will not close. It stays there. Why is the harness not closing upon logoff.
If i take something like the clipboard window, upon logging off the designer studio, the window too closes automatically. I need similar behavior here as well.
Thanks.

Hi Thaveesha,
Try the local change given in the following PDN thread https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pop-ups-remain-open-after-logoff
It worked for me.

Hi,
I added a button and configured click- Open URL in new window. I ran this scenario and then logged off. It closed the pop-up window in this case.
What I want to know from your side is how are you actually open a popup window.
Regards,
Rachit

Hi Rachit,
in the icon event/action, the action is configured as to "Launch harness". Target is set as "Pop Up Window". hope this helps.

Implemented Launch Harness(Confirm Harness). it is getting closed on Logging off. I tried this on PRPC 7.2.1. Can you try using some OOTB harness. Please let me know about the PRPC version. I will try that in that version too.

Hi Thaveesha,
Thanks for posting on PSC.
I have implemented similar use-case in UI Gallery and couldn't issue replicated.
Could you try altering "pxUIGalleryModalDialog" section?
Add a button with below action sets:-
Navigate-> Designer Studio->User Interface-> Gallery-> UI Element-> Modal Dialog(To view the result)
- Click the button to launch the harness and then log off to see if the harness gets closed?
Share following for further investigation:-
- Tracer capturing the event.
- Product Version

Asif
