How do we change the setting of an agent in SMA
Hi,
Please help me understand the process through which I can change the frequency of one of the agents in SMA. Need to change the scheduling of an agent.

You can change in the frequency in Agent Schedule instance (Data-Agent-Queue). Please save the rule once change done and refresh the SMA. You will find the updated frequency in SMA.

Does this happen on SMA level or Pega Designer Studio level?

I think Subhankar is mentioning about the Developer Studio only. Agent management in SMA allows you to view, start, stop, restart and other basic functionalities only but not change the configuration of agent.

Hi,
I changed the frequency in agent schedule and saved and refreshed it, but for some reason it is still not reflecting in SMA. Please advise.

Changes will take some time to reflect. The Master Agent which runs at a frequency of 10 mins(by default) need to update it. If you want to see the changes immediately, then restart the server.

Yes, This is at Pega Designer Studio Level. Please change there and let it reflect in SMA after system pulse to take effect. That will happen automatically.

It should be reflected on the next pulse execution, where the updated agent schedule data instance is picked up. Please check again and confirm. Thanks.

If this is intended to be a Production-level change, changes should be promoted via a change to the Agent rule, not the Agent Schedule. The Agent rule should be deployed, and the existing Agent Schedule(s) removed.
If it's a short-term change, an Agent Schedule change will suffice. Note that a Developer should not deploy Agent Schedules; These are generated by Pega :-)
