Creating Overlay model Dialogue in Control

I have a requirement like in a repeat grid i should display sub string of the input if put mouse over i should able to see full string ( Mouse hover action ).

I have done sub string functionality using a customized control but in action tab i can't see option like mouse click , mouse double click , mouse hover etc which are available to the default control's like text input , link etc .

How i can get those option or how can i do mouse hover action in control itself using JSP script .

As this is your customized control, you will not get default option of adding any event handler.

Kindly share the custom control code details to help you further.
