HTTP 404 error after re deploying the ear file in 6.3 SP1

Hi,

Our application is 6.3 SP1, to fix some error logs in sysout.log file we redeployed the ear file into our websphere server.

But after server restarted the application went down and throwing 404 error.

We could see below exception in the log file.

com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.WebContainer handleRequest CWSRV0255E: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle /prwebUAT/PRServlet/a6KS9ddaeeiP5CyLJmWnqfEMOE10EGYt*/!STANDARD has not been defined.

Anyone can help me on thsi?

Hi,

This happens when changing Node manager configuration, the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) of the Node Manager does not load the new configuration dynamically.
To Resolve this you can make sure that the Node Manager has been synchronized and the Node Manager has been recycled after you add an entry to the Virtual Host configuration.

Hello Das & Shekhar, Thank for your reply. I think your guess is right! 

There was a virtual host configuration issue while deploying the ear file. It corrected later and restarted which brought the application back.
