What is the purpose of a Dynamic Container in Harness
I have observed the dynamic container with section and harness.. What is the difference?
And there are also Single Doc and Multi Doc containers.. Is it to display tabs in portal?
Thank you

Hi Avinash,
Only one screen layout for a portal is recommended since a page cannot have multiple headers, footers etc.,Inside the screen layout ,dynamic container is dropped in a section to hold the documents. As an example work area of Designer Studio is Dynamic Container.
-A DC can be configured in a Section or Harness.
-As of now only one Dynamic Container per web page is supported.
-To Configure a Dynamic Container , we can drop the Dynamic Container from the palette of section.
There are two different types of modes
Single Document Mode
CaseWorker is example of No Iframe Single Document Mode.
Multi Document Mode
Multi Document Tabbed Dynamic Container
To configure a tabbed dynamic container , drop the tab from palette into section and then DC into that tab .
Multi Document Tabless Dynamic Container
Multi Document Tabbed Dynamic Container◦Maximum number of tabs in this mode is 16.It includes both static tabs and dynamic tabs.Tabs can be at left, right, bottom, top.
-Number of maximum tabs for a DC to be present can be changed from the value of 2 to 16
-DesignerStudio portal is configured to be of Multi Document Tabbed Dynamic Container.

Hi Haria,
Thanks for posting your query on PSC, Please find the answers to your question
Harness vs Section: Harness is a common interface which holds layout for any screen, Sections includes blork of components/HTML Components which are reusable and resides inside the harness (sections can belong / refered to multiple harnesses).
Single document: You can use a dynamic container to present the dynamic contents of sections or harnesses in a single document. This means that only one document is open at a time. When a user opens another document, it replaces the original document in the dynamic container.
Multiple documents : In this mode, several documents may be open simultaneously. Users can navigate among the open documents using tabs or a list of recent items. you can display up to 16 documents.
Hope the above explanation will make you clear to get the differents between section and harness, single document vs multi documents.

Has the single & multi document modes has anything to do with the threads in the clipboard..
In single doc mode when i open another case in case worker will the current case be removed from clipboard and then new case be loaded?
In multidoc mode what if i try to open more than 16 things.. Will it use LRU to remove the document and load the most recent one.

THanks

Hi Haria,
How are you storing these attachments, generally the attachment are stored as the instances of data-workattach-file. Which will certainly appear as pyAttachments for the WO.
