Use of List View in Get Next functionality

Hello

We have a requirement to update the Get Next functionality with our Business logic, for that we have to join the pc_Work table to get the most recent work object when click on Get Next.

While going through the code, Pega used "list view" to browse the Assign-Workbasket table.

Is it best practice to use List view, because list view is depreciated.

All suggestions are welcome.
